August ’24 Newsletter

Dear Readers,

Can you believe it’s already August? This month is named after Augustus Caesar, the first Roman emperor. And here’s a fun fact: August was originally named Sextilis because it was the sixth month of the Roman calendar. It wasn’t until 8 B.C. that it was renamed in honor of Augustus.

I’m thrilled to share that I’m deep into the copy edits for my 4th Texas Amish Brides book, titled Her Amish Refuge. It’s hard to believe that this book will be out in May 2025! It will be my 5th Love Inspired release, my first big milestone with Harlequin!

In Her Amish Refuge, I’ve taken inspiration from the classic tale of Beauty and the Beast, reimagining it with an Amish twist. The premise: Florene Schroder is a woman searching for a way to return to her home and Amish faith. Gilead Kestler is a man who believes he isn’t worthy of a family of his own. Together, they will try to overcome the doubts and fears holding them back…and discover true love can mend broken hearts.

I can’t wait for you all to meet these characters and immerse yourselves in their journey of love and redemption!

More of Florene’s story arc is set up in Her Surprise Amish Match. You won’t want to miss the deets, so be sure and pick up a copy of Amity’s book. Her Surprise Amish Match is exclusively on sale through Harlequin on August 1, 2024.

  1. My picnic would have to be Keto if my husband and I were going. Cheddar cheese sticks with a strip of bacon wrapped in salami, tiny tomatoes, sliced peppers and celery sticks. Just water for our drinks. For dessert, a coco/keto chocolate. Sounds boring I know, but it is yummy.

  2. I would make fried chicken, coleslaw and rolls Thank you for this amazing newsletter giveaway Have a great weekend Pam many Blessings coming your way
