Happy holidays and warm blessings to all!

Did you know that the song Silent Night was first performed on Christmas Eve in 1818? Written by an Austrian priest, Father Joseph Mohr, and composed by Franz Xaver Gruber, it was originally accompanied by a guitar due to the church organ being broken. Today, this beloved carol is sung in over 300 languages, a timeless reminder of peace and joy during the holiday season.

As we prepare for this special time of year, I’m thrilled to share some exciting updates! The Sheriff’s Amish Return is now in the hands of my editor, and I’m anxiously awaiting her thoughts. It’s always nerve-wracking waiting for feedback, but I’m hopeful that this story will resonate with her as much as it did with me.

While I’m sad to say goodbye (for now) to the Burr Oak series, I’m excited to return to my Humble Blessings books. My current work-in-progress is An Unexpected Amish Blessing, which tells the story of Elam Mueller and Anika Glick.

Here’s a little peek at the story:

After a street racing accident leaves a young Amish boy injured, Elam Mueller’s reckless behavior comes back to haunt him. Stripped of his driver’s license and sentenced to community service, Elam must help Anika Glick care for her injured sibling. Struggling with agoraphobia brought on by past trauma, Anika’s world is confined to her home. As Elam works to rebuild their trust and his faith, he finds himself drawn to Anika’s quiet strength. But will the secrets they both carry keep them apart, or can they find the courage to embrace a future together?

I’m having so much fun writing this story and can’t wait to share more details!
