Dear Readers,
Uh, ho! Looks like the groundhog is predicting 6 more weeks of winter. But what better reason can a writer have for staying inside and working? Because it’s so cold outside. So looks like I’ll be staying inside and working on the next book in my Texas Amish Brides series. This is book 2, Rebecca’s story, and I have tentatively titled it “Taming His Amish Heart”. Here’s a little peek at the synopsis I’ve written up:
Taming His Amish Heart
After Rebecca Schroder’s fiancée leaves her standing at the altar, the Amish schoolmarm is heartbroken and humiliated.
When her friend, Frannie Buhler, needs help while recovering from surgery, Rebecca offers to lend a hand. Caring for Frannie’s three young children will help take her mind off her broken engagement.
However, Rebecca’s chance to enjoy a calm summer break is about to be turned upside down.
Frannie’s older brother, Wayne Zehr, is a big bear of a man. Gruff and unlikable, he’s a loner and not easy to get to know. Wayne captures and breaks wild mustangs for a living. Though he has the magic touch with horses, his manners rub Rebecca the wrong way. Soon the two are butting heads.
There’s more, but I don’t want to give away key plot points, so I’ll just leave it at that.
Meanwhile, I’m happy to announce my segment “I got ‘The Call’ “ is up now on the Harlequin site. Maybe you’ll all swing on over and read my interview on why I write romance.
That’s about all I’ve got to tell for now. 🙂 Off to work on the new book!
Many blessing to all!
Pamela
